With all year sun and warmth, Lake Takerkoust is the perfect spot to fully immerse yourself in this amazing land. Standup Paddle is very beginner friendly and immediately accessible as it requires no special skills and the lake, cool in the summer and warm in the winter, unlike the sea, has no waves. Paddle away to see the High Atlas and truly get away from it all with this beginner friendly activity with all year sunshine.

A quick introduction to your equipment, and you’re off, paddling on your board to fully absorb the crystal clear views of the Atlas mountains. Enjoy snowy mountain tops in the warmth of the Moroccan sun!   In the summer, escape the heat to this cool retreat around the large lake shore.

Ideal for families and friends, available all year round, can be combined with other lakeside activities & fine lunching venues for a perfect day out one hour’s drive from Marrakech. Let us know your preferences and we’d delighted to introduce you to the finest lunch & dining venues dotted around the lake. Rebalance yourself as you quietly slide across the smooth surface of a mountain lake.

Includes

  • Pick up from & return transfer to your hotel or riad (5 km or less from Marrakech)

Logistics & Details

  • This excursion is available year round and always happens with guide.

  • Swimming skills are necessary.

  • Children may not paddle alone but only under parental or guardian supervision.  Children under 12 (half price) must ride with an adult.

  • Drinks, tips and extras are not included.

Good to Know

  • We recommend to have with you : swimsuit, long sleeved t-shirt in winter, hat, sun screen, waterproof camera.

  • To best enjoy this experience, we suggest you respect local customs and avoid wearing shorts or skirts. We ask you to avoid too short swimsuit.  It is more comfortable for women to wear shorts for the activity Stand Up Paddle Marrakech.

  • This excursion is good for everyone ! Children are more than welcome, but under 12’s must ride with an adult.
